An 80s born “90s kid”, raised in Marburg, a small medieval town in Germany, where Sue was already drawn to microphones at the age of 4 (side note: those cassette recordings still exist – more on that soon). Her first professional voice experiences though were gained in the 2000s, mainly via an apprenticeship program as radio broadcast editor.
Then located in Berlin, Sue appeared on air regularly to cover the latest trends in the entertainment sector and produced radio commercials, speaking her first advertisements for several leading brands. Following her passion, she enrolled in further education as a professional voice actor (“Studiosprecher”) in 2009 which shaped the beloved VO work Sue performs today.
Upon relocating to Helsinki, Finland, in 2014, she has worked internationally ever since. Better late than never Sue started her own company in 2020: She Sounds Great. Recently, Sue has been Award-nominated for “Best International Voiceover Performance” at One Voice USA 2024.
When she is not recording in her home studio you’ll find her most probably either with a good book in hand (yep, printed version), eating pizza or drinking coffeee, dancing at a rock concert or recharging in a sauna (followed by an ice bath if the season allows). Sue might also travel inter-/nationally now and then to see family & friends, incl. her VO friends (you know who you are).
